Taylor Laub, born in Spokane, Washington and a native to central Virginia, has been playing music since age 8 or 9 – but no one really remembers. Mixing styles oƒ acoustic bluegrass with electric jazz and post-jam psychedelia, Laub attempts to (sometimes quite blindly…perhaps moronically) create music that carries weight, but remains lightweight (hence the oxymoron.) He is always paying respect to the ethereal elements oƒ audible signals. His cat’s name is Luna, who sometimes makes guest appearances in the background oƒ earlier recordings.
